Organizers Predict For Over 100,000 For 5th Year Anniversary Of Controversial 1998 Mass March. With a focus On Police Brutality And Stopping Violence and Now Spearheaded by the New Black Panther Party The battle over the March may soon be headed to Federal Court again over the right to march

The fifth year anniversary of the Million Youth March (first held Sept 5th 1998) will be held sat Sept 6th in Brooklyn New York on Fulton Street (Harriet Tubman Blvd) at Nostrand. This March is being supported by a surprising array of Black Leaders politicians, clergy and activists. It appears that this Million Youth March in 2003 will break attendance records and has more momentum than ever before (see millionyouth.com- endorsements) Organizers predict over 100,000 will attend.

This years march has been endorsed and supported by Louis Farrakhan, Russell Simmons, Rev. Al Sharpton, 50 Cent, Nas, Dr Leonard Jeffries, Congresswoman Cynthia Mckinney, Jay Z And Others (see endorsements) The sponsor is the New Black Panther Party.

Speakers include Major Rap artists, The Family Of Alberta Spruill, Family Of Ousmane Zongo, Palestinian Youth Freedom Fighters, Politicians, Cuban Revolutionary Youth, Pastors, Bloods & Crips Gang Members.

The youth and community will actually march through different areas in Brooklyn, like Flatbush and Crown Heights down Easter Parkway before return to the rally site for a massive 12: 00 noon rally on crowded Fulton Street in Bed Sty.

IT APPEARS THAT THE MARCH MAY BE HEADED TO COURT AGAIN IN A LEGAL SHOWDOWN AGAINST THE CITY FOR THE FIFTH TIME. Lawyers will explain the predicament and details.

Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, a disciple of Muhammad, took over the New Black Panther Party and Youth March duties after Muhammad passed in 2001. Despite attacks from the old Black Panthers the New Black Panthers are growing in New York and nationwide.
